Martin Guitar has debuted their latest FSC –certified guitars, the DX2MAE and the DX420.

Since 1997, Martin Guitar has been committed to sourcing their wood from responsibly managed forests and have been FSC Chain-of-Custody Certified, as part of its Responsible Timber Purchasing Policy.

In 2009, Martin was one of the first acoustic guitar manufacturers in the industry to produce a guitar model comprised entirely of FSC® certified woods. The D Mahogany included a genuine mahogany neck, back and sides, an Alpine spruce soundboard and katalox fingerboard and bridge.

According to their website, “We base our commercial activities on responsible stewardship of the world's forest resources. We also firmly believe in improving the standard of living in communities that we source our materials.”

The DX2MAE is designed for those who have fallen in love with the look of Martin's 15 and 17 Series solid mahogany guitars, this full-sized Dreadnought version of Martin's recent 0XMAE features mahogany high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, back and sides, a herringbone applied rosette, a high performance neck, and a FSC-certified Richlite® fingerboard and bridge.
