FSC International is currently exploring whether it’s Standard for ‘Sourcing Reclaimed Material For Use in FSC Product Groups or FSC Certified Projects’ should be expanded to include new concepts, including:
- The incorporation of circularity concepts (inclusion of textiles, NTFPs etc.;
- Reassessing the treatment of salvaged wood from urban areas;
- Considering the inclusion of certain categories of co-products under the scope of the standard.
