The main purpose of the meeting was to share and discuss ideas for the upcoming FSC International General Assembly in Vancouver (October 8-13, 2017).
Around 50 people attended the meeting either in person or over the phone from Russia, Europe (mainly Scandinavia) and North America (mainly Canada but also US over the phone).
The second day of the meeting was open to members of the Environmental and Social chambers and there was a cross-chamber conversation that emerged to develop a position on sustainable land use for the Boreal forest that will be responsible considering current issues (Climate / ES / IFL), as well as ensuring a solid base for the growth for the FSC Brand in the long term (Risk-based approach & Impact Analysis).
