“It is very unfortunate that we have to cancel our annual gathering which, traditionally, represents a special moment for the members to celebrate our successes” said David Flood, Chair of the FSC Canada board of Directors. “These are extraordinary times, and on behalf of the whole board, I would like to extend my best wishes that you all remain safe and healthy”.
Although we will not be able to meet in-person, voting on key decisions (for members) will be completed electronically. More information will be sent directly to the membership on this.
“We are disappointed as we always look forward every year to connecting with our members and stakeholders” said Francois Dufresne, President of FSC Canada. “However, given the circumstances cancelling the meeting is a necessary decision to avoid putting the health and safety of our attendees at risk.”
This announcement comes in parallel to FSC international’s announcement to postpone the International General Assembly to 2021.
