It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to two valued members of the FSC Canada family, Elaine Marchand, Director of Forest Management Standards, and Andrew Tremblay, Market Development Manager. Their contributions have left an unforgettable mark on our organization, and as they embark on new chapters in their professional journeys, we express our deepest gratitude and warmest wishes for their continued success.
Elaine Marchand has been an integral part of FSC Canada since 2013, bringing her passion for sustainable forest management to the forefront. Her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing our mission have been instrumental in shaping the standards that guide our work. Elaine's impact resonates not only within our organization but also across the broader forestry community.
Andrew Tremblay joined FSC in 2019 as Market Development Manager, and in his time here, he played a crucial role in fostering partnerships, expanding market reach, and championing the cause of responsible forestry practices. Andrew's unique approach and tireless efforts have helped strengthen the connection between sustainable forestry and the marketplace.
It was a pleasure and an honour to work at FSC Canada. I am very grateful for the great opportunity that was offered to me 11 years ago and for the support and trust that I received. To be part of this large FSC family was a fabulous a unique experience that I will never forget!
For many years I have been apart of FSC on many different levels . From a corporate role, to chair of the board but the most enriching part was working for FSC Canada . Working with great group who are dedicated and are passionate for about what they do for the forests in Canada and environment. I will continue to support and assist FSC as I believe in its vision and the mission .
As we bid farewell to Elaine and Andrew, we also extend a warm welcome to their successors. Jeff Welch has stepped into the role of Market Development Manager and can be reached at j.welch@ca.fsc.org, and we are confident that he will continue to drive our market development initiatives to new heights.
We are currently in the process of seeking a qualified individual to fill the important role of Director of Policy & Standards left by Elaine's departure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sustainable forest management to make a significant impact within our organization. Learn more here.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to both Elaine and Andrew for their dedication, hard work, and positive influence during their time with FSC Canada. We wish them the very best in all their future endeavors.
