Preliminary draft indicators have been developed across all Principles and will be reviewed further in order to reach cross-chamber support by the Standards Development Group and FSC Canada Board of Directors.
Next Steps
In the next few months (Fall 2015), FSC Canada plans to have the first draft of the National Forest Management Standard ready for public consultation. During this time, FSC Canada will provide regular updates and information.
FSC Canada intends to have a second public consultation period this winter (2015-2016) and concurrent field tests in the spring of 2016 and with a final approved standard by summer 2016.
