Board of Directions Election Nominations
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Canada has established a Nominating Committee to consider candidates for positions on the FSC Canada Board of Directors, to take office at the first Board meeting following elections on September 19th, 2011.
With the expiration of terms for existing Directors there are eight vacancies, two representatives from each of the four Chambers (Aboriginal Peoples, Economic, Environmental, Social). In accordance with FSC By-Laws, Directors serve two-year terms, with half of the 8-member Board renewed annually.
If you would like to nominate a candidate for the FSC Canada Board of Directors, please submit the Nominations Form by August 30th, 2011.

Clarifications
- Only FSC members resident in Canada can nominate candidates to the Board of Directors.
- Nominees must be members of FSC Canada (The motion, requiring all Directors of FSC Canada's Board to also be members of FSC, was passed by the majority of membership on August 5, 2011). Nominees must apply for FSC membership prior to August 30th, 2011 in order to qualify.
- In addition to completing the Nominations Form, nominees and nominators must explain how they meet the 'Director's Profile'. Download the ‘Director’s Profile’.
- Once all nominations have been received, a Call for Election will be sent out.
- E-mail nominations are deemed acceptable only with electronic signature.
