Elaine has more than 20 years of experience in the forestry sector with more than 10 years dedicated to environmental and forest certifications. She was most notably involved in implementing and maintaining FSC certification for several Quebec business units of Tembec while supporting other provincial counterparts.
Over the years, she has worked in different sectors, seeing forest certification from different viewpoints including, private industries, government, aboriginal communities, and forest contractors. She has also had the opportunity to travel through eastern Canada and to witness on-the-ground benefits of environmental certifications.
Elaine holds a degree in Forest Management from Laval University and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec and of the Ontario Professional Forester Association.
Elaine is the newest member of the FSC Canada team and will focus on coordinating regional uptake of FSC Forest Management certification and supply chain development in Eastern Canada.
