FSC-Certified Products Now Featured in Amazon Canada's Climate Pledge Friendly Program

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Canada is proud to announce that FSC-certified products are now officially featured in Amazon Canada's Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) program. This milestone makes it easier for Canadian consumers to discover products that meet credible sustainability certifications—empowering them to make climate-conscious choices, while offering FSC-certified businesses greater exposure and growth opportunities.

Amazon’s CPF badge signals to customers that a product is recognized for its environmental performance by a trusted third-party certification. As the only forest-focused certification included in the CPF program, FSC gives consumers the power to support responsible forest management through their everyday purchases.

“This is a game changer for visibility,” said Monika Patel, President of FSC Canada. “By appearing in Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program, FSC-certified products gain greater exposure while giving consumers an easy way to choose sustainability through everyday purchases.”

By participating in CPF, FSC-certified businesses can benefit from increased exposure and consumer trust. Studies show that products included in CPF program enjoy an average 10% increase in Product Page Views through 18 discovery features, advertising & marketing activations, and B2B features. CPF products are sold at a higher average selling price, demonstrating that consumers are willing to pay a higher price for sustainable products. CPF is also driving customer switching behaviour, making it easier for customers to identify and purchase more environmentally friendly products.  

To qualify for the CPF badge, products must be:

• FSC-certified with visible on-product labeling,
• Sold by an FSC certificate holder or promotional license holder,
• Available through Amazon.ca.

Examples of FSC-certified products eligible for CPF include furniture, paper goods, household items, furniture and more —offering consumers a wide variety of ways to shop more sustainably.
