An FSC accredited forest management (FM) and chain of custody (CoC) auditor training will be held in downtown Montreal, Canada, from Monday Feb 11th to Thursday 14th 2019 by SCS Global (www.scsglobalservices.com). The training will be given by SmartCert (www.smartcert.ca) bilingual (English and French) staff. The training will be in English, but the exercises and final exam will be available in French and English and participants can use either language throughout the training (in discussions, exercises and exam).
This training is the first steps for professionals who want to become FSC auditors for FM and/or CoC for accredited certification bodies, and represents a solid base for those who simply want to conduct internal FSC audits at industrial sites.

SCS was among the first four certification bodies accredited to conduct FSC certification and has an established reputation for excellence in quality and integrity. SmartCert is a Canadian firm supporting certification candidates and conducting FSC trainings and audits for certification bodies in Canada and around the world.
The cost of attending the 4-day training is 1,000 USD (1,300 Canadian dollars – 880 €). Note that the number of participants is limited to 20. Participants are expected to cover their travel, food and accommodation. Lunches and coffee breaks are covered by the training. Participants are given access to 35 hours of online recorded mandatory basic training and have to complete it before Feb 11th.
