The release of the National Forest Management Standard, with its broad based support, will be a significant milestone for forest management. It aims to leverage Canada to be more competitive in delivering certified products to the global market and is important for the future availability of certified forest products especially paper and construction grade lumber.

With the development of a consensus-based standard for responsible forestry, it is now time we begin to strategize on implementation of the standard and growing FSC in BC.

To do this, we are inviting key stakeholders in BC to attend an innovation lab to explore how to successfully implement the new standard in BC, grow supply and sell more FSC-certified products.
