This consultation pertains to normative requirements to integrate Indigenous Cultural Landscapes (ICLs) into the FSC® National Forest Stewardship Standard of Canada (NFSS). This development is part of FSC Canada’s commitments to fulfil Motion 23 objectives and provide landscape level solutions for both Intact Forest Landscapes and Indigenous Cultural Landscapes.
The consultation on Intact Forest Landscapes concluded on September 30 and we thank everyone who took the time to provide feedback. A consultation summary will be released shortly.
The body of knowledge that informed this consultation on Indigenous Cultural Landscapes is a result of considerable effort from many contributors.

Please note, the scope of this consultation period is regarding only to the integration of Indigenous Cultural Landscapes to the NFSS. The scope does not include revisions to the existing Criteria and Indicators in Principle 3 at this time.
