You can now buy FSC-certified snowboards from Burton Snowboards in Toronto, ON. The popular U.S. snowboard brand opened up its flagship store on Ossington in Toronto and it’s poised for future expansion across the country.

100% of Burton’s snowboard cores are made from responsibly harvested wood that meets FSC standards. Their Austrian snowboard factory, which produces roughly half of their snowboards, sources almost all of their materials within a 250-mile radius, makes their own snowboard cores from FSC Certified wood, and then uses scrap wood to heat the factory and all of the presses. They recycle sidewall and base scrap materials and recycle the water used in production in a closed loop process which reduces water usage by 50%.
