Westwind Forest Stewardship Inc. has appointed SGS QUALIFOR to carry out an evaluation of the management of the French/Severn Forest (FMU 360) in the Parry Sound area of Ontario with a view to seeking certification against the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council Principles and Criteria (FSC P&C). The evaluation will be carried out during August 22-25, 2016.
Your views about Westwind Forest Stewardship Inc.’s forest management need to be taken into account in forming a balanced opinion concerning their overall compliance with the FSC P&C.
They appreciate any comments you might have about forest management practices for the forestlands (appended as Annex A) under evaluation in relation to their environmental, social and/or economic impacts. The standard that will be used in this evaluation is the SGS Forest Management Standard (AD33-CA-GLSL-03) adapted for Great Lakes St. Lawrence region, Canada version 3.0 (2010).
