FSC Canada is seeking a consultant(s) to prepare a technical 'Preliminary Risk Designation Report' that provides preliminary risk designations by controlled wood risk category and region. Risk designations will include the categories of low risk, disputed risk and unspecified risk. An accompanying map will also be produced that identifies the risk designation by region/ecoregion.
The Preliminary Risk Designation Report will be used by the Controlled Wood Working Group (CW WG) to characterize, qualify, and assess the types of and level of threats with specific focus on disputed risk designations by category and region. Where necessary the CW WG will clarify the terms, scope and criteria for the five risk categories of controlled wood.
