Samsung Canada and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Canada team up to help protect and preserve Canadian forests.

Throughout the month of April, Samsung Canada will donate $1 to FSC Canada, up to a maximum $10,000 CAD, for every purchase made in-store and online at Samsung.com. In addition, through June 2023, for each review that Canadians leave on Samsung’s website (whether positive or negative), Samsung will donate an additional $10 to FSC Canada, up to a maximum $6,000 CAD.

“At Samsung Canada, we recognize the responsibility we share to help protect our environment and try to create a more sustainable future for all,” said Jennifer Groh, Sr. Director, Corporate Citizenship and Communications, Samsung Canada. “Together with FSC Canada, we are helping to create and preserve healthy and resilient forests.”

“The partnership with Samsung Canada comes at an important time. It will help increase consumer awareness for FSC but will also support FSC’s initiative to increase the adoption of our rigorous social and environmental forest management requirements across Canada,”  said Francois Dufresne, FSC Canada President.

As the most recognized, trusted, and rigorous forest certification system in the world, FSC’s labels verify that products have been sourced responsibly and sustainably through all elements of the supply chain, helping brands and consumers work together to help protect the future of forests.

FSC labels represent a commitment to supporting zero deforestation, the safeguarding of ancient and endangered forests, a fair wage and work environment, biodiversity preservation, and community land rights, including those of Indigenous Peoples.

The partnership has already been covered by MSNs Mobile Syrup, the Financial Post, IT World Canada, Paper & Pulp Canada, and the Canada News Media.
