The Rainforest Alliance is conducting forest management and chain of custody certification assessments of l’Université du Québec en Abitibi Témiscamingue, Forêt d’Enseignement et de Recherche du Lac Duparquet, hereafter called UQAT-FERLD. The assessment audit will be implemented during the week of October 3rd, 2016.
Your Input Sought
As a part of the forest certification assessment process, stakeholders are invited to offer comment and feedback on UQAT-FERLD forest management in relation to conformance with the requirements of the forest management standard referenced above. Input is welcome, either public or confidential, in whatever form is easiest and most secure for you. Your input will be valuable at any stage of the assessment process, but Rainforest Alliance would prefer to receive your comments either prior to the assessment, during the assessment, or prior to October 3rd, 2016 so that they can be taken into consideration in reaching a certification decision. Your options for communicating your observations to us are as follows.
- 1. Meet with a Rainforest Alliance assessment team member during or shortly after the fieldwork.
- 2. Call and give comments to Yves Bouthillier (ybouthillier@ra.org), the Rainforest Alliance staff person responsible for coordinating this certification assessment from the Canada Regional Office. If Yves Bouthillier is not in the office, please give your comments to either Mylène Raimbault at mraimbault@ra.org
- 3. Submit written comments by mail, FAX or email to Yves Bouthillier. Unless you request otherwise, these comments will be kept confidential and are solely for the purposes of assessing UQAT-FERLD forest management activities.
