The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)Canada is seeking candidates for the FSC Canada Board of Directors,to take office at the first Board meeting during November 5th - 7th, 2013 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
With the expiration of terms for existing Directors, there are 4 vacancies, one representative from each of the four Chambers (Aboriginal Peoples, Economic,Environmental, Social). In accordance with the FSC Canada By-Laws, Directors serve two-year terms, with half of the 8-member Board renewed annually.
Clarifications
- Only FSC members resident in Canada can nominate candidates to the Board of Directors.
- Nominees must be members of FSC Canada or applicants of FSC membership to qualify.
- In addition to completing the Nominations Form, nominees and nominators must explain how they meet the 'Director's Profile'. Download the ‘Director’s Profile’.
Once all nominations have been received, a Call for Election will be sent out.
