Elaine has more than 20 years of experience in the forestry sector with half of that time dedicated to environmental and forest certifications. She has most notably been involved in implementing and maintaining FSC certification for several forest management companies in Quebec including multiple locations for Tembec.
Elaine has been involved in the forestry sector from a variety of aspects, from her days as a young forest technician to forester to her most recent endeavour as an Advisor to the Cree-Quebec Forestry Board;she brings with her years of experience with multi stakeholders and passion for the forest.
Elaine holds a degree in Forest Management from Laval University and is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Quebec and the Ontario Professional Foresters Association.
Elaine is the newest member of the FSC Canada team and will focus on coordinating regional uptake of FSC Forest Management certification and supply chain development in Eastern Canada (Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI & Newfoundland).
