FSC Canada Welcomes New Board Members and Thanks Outgoing Directors
We are thrilled to announce the newest members of the FSC Canada Board of Directors, who will take office on November 25, 2025. Their expertise and dedication to sustainable forestry, conservation, and social responsibility will help guide FSC Canada as we continue to advance responsible forest management across the country.

Introducing Our New Board Members
Indigenous Chamber – Leticia Hill, Chief Executive Officer, HaiCo
Leticia Hill, of the Gaag’yals Kii Gawaay (Skedans) Clan, grew up in Hl Gaagilda Skidegate. She joined HaiCo in July 2023, bringing 14 years of experience from the Council of the Haida Nation, where she served as Chief of Staff. As HaiCo’s Chief Operating Officer, Leticia led strategic initiatives, drove operational excellence, and strengthened human resources practices. In November 2024, she stepped into the role of CEO and is currently pursuing an Indigenous Business Leadership Executive MBA (IBL EMBA) from Simon Fraser University.
Environmental Chamber – Marie-Michèle Rousseau-Clair, Chief Conservation Officer, Nature Conservancy of Canada
Marie-Michèle Rousseau-Clair has been with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) since 2007, rising from regional stewardship assistant to Chief Conservation Officer. With over 15 years’ experience developing and promoting best practices in conservation programming, she ensures NCC’s conservation directions are informed by the best available science and knowledge systems, while leveraging technology to optimize conservation outcomes.
Economic Chamber – John Pineau, individual
John Pineau recently retired after a 44-year career across government, industry, academia, and non-profits in Canada’s forest sector. Former Executive Director of the Ontario Woodlot Association and Eastern Ontario Model Forest, he continues to contribute part-time to OWA and teach in Algonquin College’s Forestry Technician Program. John has extensive governance experience and is familiar with FSC certification standards.
Social Chamber – Jeff Bromley, Chair, United Steelworkers, Wood Council
With over 31 years in BC’s forest industry, Jeff Bromley has been a passionate advocate for workers’ safety and rights. He currently serves as USW Wood Council Chair, representing 14,000 forestry workers across Canada. Jeff also holds leadership roles on boards including SFI, PLT Canada, and the BC Forest Safety Council, and advises provincial forestry committees.
