Toronto Climate Week (TOCW), in partnership with the University of Toronto and MaRS, will kick off its inaugural edition with the flagship event True North Rising on October 1. This three-day gathering in downtown Toronto features more than 50 events designed to showcase Canada’s climate leadership and position Toronto as a global hub for climate solutions.

With an official annual launch planned for June 2026, this year’s soft launch is about building momentum. TOCW will convene communities, innovators, policymakers, Indigenous leaders, and clean tech pioneers to celebrate progress and shape solutions for the future.

The agenda features an impressive lineup—from fireside chats with Rick Smith (Canadian Climate Institute) and Toby Heaps (Corporate Knights), to panels on clean tech, transportation, arts and culture, and Indigenous leadership. The day will conclude with a Natural World panel where FSC Canada President & CEO Monika Patel will join Akash Rastogi (Ocean Supercluster), James Nowlan (City of Toronto), and Aki Temisevä (United Nations Association in Canada). Together, they will explore how forests, oceans, and ecosystems can serve as some of the most powerful natural tools for addressing climate change.

Tickets are nearly sold out, so don’t miss your chance to hear Monika share how FSC Canada upholds free, prior, and informed consent in recognition, respect, and protection of Indigenous rights—and how FSC’s unique standards are driving innovative climate solutions in partnership with communities and organizations across Canada.
