The 2014 FSC International General Assembly, FSC's highest decision-making body, gathered close to 500 participants from 70 countries, representing social, economic and environmental interests from across the globe.

The week-long General Assembly featured over 50 side meetings and the FSC+20 Forum which brought together an unprecedented number of business leaders, representatives from environmental and social non-governmental organizations and others to discuss the greatest challenges facing FSC and the world’s forests.

The General Assembly had over 30 motions put in front of them to discuss in-detail and vote on. After last two days of deliberations, 18 motions were passed. The results of the General Assembly can be found on the FSC General Assembly website: http://ga2014.fsc.org/motion-updates

We would like to thank all of our members, especially those from Canada who attended the General Assembly and sent in proxy votes, to helping to plan our future, today.
